Late Kalipada Saha (1916-1999) was born at Dhaniakhali in Hooghly District of West Bengal. Later he went on to become one of the most prominent entrepreneurs in pre and post-independence era, providing employment to the people of the nation.
Highly inspired by the "Swadeshi Movement" during the pre-British rule, he was firmly convinced that industrialization was the key for all round growth, prosperity& development.
He was driven by a desire to eradicate poverty by generating job opportunity and making the country self-sufficient as well as self-reliant. To achieve this, he knew that Technical Education was the key to empower the rural youth.
To turn his dream into reality, KPS Memorial Trust was founded to establish KPS INSTITUTE OF POLYTECHNIC by his able heirs and a group of able educationists with a view to promote quality education through holistic approach in creating "NEW AGE EDUCATION SYSTEM".
